The mission of Brain Trainers is to bring clear, accurate, useful brain science information to everyone. By doing so, we hope to empower the individual, improve the community, and change the world.
Brain Trainers founder Matthew Barrett discovered memory and logic exercises in elementary school, and gathered more over the next 25 years as a student, tutor, teacher’s assistant, and substitute teacher.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Jacksonville University, Matthew realized that clear, relevant, and useful neuroscience information was available but not widely known. Schools didn't incorporate the latest brain science research. Professionals were unaware of the dangers of multitasking and stress. Senior citizens were not well informed by a medical community that still believed that the brain was fixed at an early age. While pursuing his Masters, he founded Brain Trainers to share this critical information with the public.
Today, Matthew has a Masters degree in Psychology, and is a full-fledged personal trainer for the brain. He grounds his lessons in cutting-edge cognitive neuroscience, adds the best material gathered from world-renowned experts, and matches lessons to the needs of his clients.
